Jiggin' Johnsons · 2" Crappie Mayhem Series
Your crappie bait. Your colors. Your kind of Mayhem.
Ever wish you could take the tail from one bait,
the body color from another, and throw in just
the right glitter? That's exactly why Jesse
created the Crappie Mayhem Series.
Instead of settling for somebody else's favorite
combination, you build your own 2-inch crappie
soft plastic. Choose from five different tail
profiles, select your grub body color, pick a
contrasting or matching tail color, add glitter
if you want it, and finish with your choice of
scent. Jesse pours your custom combination.
Go natural, go bright, match your favorite
forage, or come up with something nobody else
has in the tackle box. There's no single right
way to build Mayhem.

Choosing your tail style
Five tails. Five different approaches.
The body may be the same, but the tail changes
the presentation. Some profiles are better
suited to a quiet, subtle approach. Others
provide more movement when you want fish to
notice your bait. Here's where we'd start
with each one.
Split-tail action
Mayhem Cricket
The Cricket's two long, separated tail
appendages give it a distinctive profile.
Those flexible arms can respond independently
to small rod movements, making this an
interesting choice when you want action
without constantly moving the bait forward.
Where to try it:
Vertical jigging around brush piles, dock
posts, and suspended crappie. Start with
short lifts and pauses, allowing the twin
tails to move as the bait settles.
Baitfish profile
Mayhem Minnow
The Minnow has a streamlined, forked-tail
appearance that lends itself to a more
restrained baitfish presentation. When
crappie are focused on small minnows and
shad, this is a good place to start.
Where to try it:
Clear water, suspended schools, and fish
feeding on young baitfish. Try a slow,
steady swim, a controlled fall, or gentle
twitches on a light jig head.
Swimming presentation
Mayhem Paddler
The Paddler's broad tail is designed around
the idea of a more noticeable swimming
action. It's a useful option when you want
a compact bait that can attract attention
during a moving presentation.
Where to try it:
Swimming along weed edges, around docks,
or across open-water crappie schools.
Start with a steady retrieve and adjust
speed until the tail works the way you want.
Subtle finesse profile
Mayhem Baller
The Baller has a slender tail ending in
a rounded tip. Its compact profile makes
it worth experimenting with when fish
are inspecting a bait closely and you
don't want a large, aggressive tail.
Where to try it:
Slow vertical presentations, light jigging,
and pressured crappie. Try small shakes,
short hops, and longer pauses before
increasing the action.
Curly-tail movement
Mayhem Twister
The Twister's curved tail gives it a
different look from the other four profiles.
A curly tail can create visible movement
during a slow swim or falling presentation,
making it a natural choice when you want
a little more action.
Where to try it:
Searching for active crappie, slow-rolling
over cover, or swimming through schools.
It's also worth trying on a lift-and-fall
retrieve when fish need a little extra
encouragement.
Not sure which tail to start with?
Try the Minnow for a natural baitfish look,
the Cricket or Baller for more controlled
presentations, and the Paddler or Twister
when you're looking for swimming action.
And don't be afraid to experiment. Finding
the combination the fish want is half the fun.
Make it yours
Build a color combination that fits your water.
With 15 grub body colors and 10 tail colors,
you can go with a natural, understated look
or put together a high-visibility combination
for stained water and low-light conditions.
Choose from 32 glitter options, or leave the
glitter out entirely. Glitter can add flash
and contrast to your bait, but sometimes a
simple two-color combination is exactly what
you want. You also have the option to add
scent to your custom pour.
The live preview lets you explore combinations
before you add them to your cart. Actual
poured colors and glitter appearance may
vary slightly from the on-screen illustration.
