Jiggin' Johnsons' Bladed Micro Jig, Various Colors
Weights
Available in 1/16 and 1/8 ounce. Choose the lighter head for a slower, shallower presentation or step up to 1/8 oz for more casting distance, depth, and control.
Hook options
Choose a #2, #4, or #6 hook to match the size of your soft plastic and the fish you're targeting.
Profile
Compact painted jig head paired with a metal blade that adds flash and vibration while leaving the hook open for your favorite small soft plastic.
Best for
Crappie, panfish, perch, trout, walleye, and finesse-minded bass when you want more attraction than a standard jig head without jumping to a full-size bladed jig.
A little blade can make a big difference:
The Bladed Micro Jig gives small soft plastics added flash, vibration, and water displacement while keeping the entire presentation compact. It is a good change-up when fish will follow a plain jig but need a little more movement to trigger the bite.
Top 3 ways we fish it
Micro flash and vibration
Slow roll and swim
The natural starting point for a bladed micro jig
Pair it with a small minnow, paddle tail, grub, or other compact swimming plastic.
Cast beyond the fish and use a steady retrieve just fast enough to keep the blade working.
Change retrieve speed or rod angle to move the bait higher or lower in the water column.
Lift, fall, and glide
Add flashes of movement without constantly retrieving
Let the jig reach the depth where fish are holding, then lift it with the rod rather than immediately reeling it back.
Allow the bait to fall again on controlled line before repeating the lift.
Experiment with short lifts and longer sweeps to change how aggressively the blade and trailer move.
Cast around cover
Docks, weed edges, brush, and isolated targets
Cast alongside docks, weed edges, brush, laydowns, and other areas where fish can ambush small forage.
Begin the retrieve as the bait approaches the depth or cover you want to fish.
Pause or change speed after clearing cover to imitate a small baitfish changing direction.
