The natural starting point for a bladed micro jig
  • Pair it with a small minnow, paddle tail, grub, or other compact swimming plastic.
  • Cast beyond the fish and use a steady retrieve just fast enough to keep the blade working.
  • Change retrieve speed or rod angle to move the bait higher or lower in the water column.
This is a strong way to cover water for crappie, perch, trout, walleye, and other fish feeding on small moving forage.

Lift, fall, and glide

Add flashes of movement without constantly retrieving
  • Let the jig reach the depth where fish are holding, then lift it with the rod rather than immediately reeling it back.
